Hello
I have project with WinCC scada v7.0 where I have visualization for simatic s300 PLC with E200 communication modul and it work OK. Now I want to use the same SCADA for visualization of more 5 existing PLCs unitronics visio.
1. If it is possible with modbus, would you like to tell me what type of CPU is unitronics (premium, 984, quantum, etc)
2.The unitronics PLC support OPC server. If it is better way for communication, would you like to send me exapmle how to configure WinCC as OPC client, because in online help I can not understand how to do this.
3.Unitronics PLC support DDE server and it can write datas in excel table. Can WinCC scada read datas from excel table and if it is possible, how to do this?
Thanks in advance

Hello tometrajkov,

if I look around in your posted threads I'd say be go a little bit in circles, so I will try my very best to give you some hopefully helpful answers.

1. Please look at answer to this one of your threads.

2. Maybe this What steps are required to start up a WinCC station as OPC server or as OPC client (OLE for Process Control)? will help you.

3. How can WinCC exchange data with Microsoft Excel or Access?
DDE channel will not be supported any longer, please compare with documentation of
WinCC V7.0 SP2 (WinCC Information System ("Online Help")/First Steps/What's new?

If there still should be open questions please let us know

Best regards

Bizur

not sure but found a unitronics manual describing Mosbus TCP/IP:

http://www.unitronics.com/Data/Uploads/VisiLogic_Software_New/VisiLogic%20-%20Function_Blocks.pdf

depending on the info in there about, you should make the choice between "Area with CPU Premium/Micro" or "Area with CPU 984, Compact, Quantum, Momentum"

I would just try them one-by-one but can't help you in detail. You should have both Unitronics Modbus manual & WinCC ModbusTCPIP manual.

Unitronics supports both Modbus RTU/Modbus IP and OPC connection.
Modbus is a functional block and can be found in  their programming software VisiLogic > in FB's menu. In VisiLogic > Help menu > Examples you can find working demoes for the nessesary settings.
As Unitronics needs to be Slave, you need to review thhe Help topic Modbus > Slave addressing. The easiest way to find the topic is via Help dedicated to FB Modbus.
Unitronics OPC server (UniOPC) is free of charge (as all thheir software tools!) and can be downloaded from their site www.unitronics.com. It comes with detailed help.
My advice - send mail withh your questions related to the PLC to their support team at support@unitronics.com. I'm not sure they can help you with WinCC, but for sure you will receive detailed help about their PLC within 24 hours!
