Hallo.

The last few days ive been searching the web, for ways to get started on getting a plc to work with a database. I keep running my head into high prices, from various companies with a complete solution.

I dont have a specifig task or anything like that. First of all. I just want to find out if its possible to make a some entry to a sql db, when i set a bit in the plc or something simple like that. Without costing alot of money.

Once i made an experiment with exporting winCC recipe to a csv. file, then parsing it with a simple php script. And then showing it in html. This worked fine, but seemend a little amateur.

I want to take this a step further with for instance sql and opc.

Any ideas where to start will be much appreciated.

Im running step7 prof. v5.5 and winCC flex 2008

there is a solution and it's free.  i've written a small application in .NET that does the job,but maybe we're gonna have to make some changes in the source code, it's my hobbie, , anyway if u are interested, just PM.

Dear Mr. Vargas

I was trying to solve the same problem, but didn’t  succeed at all.

I found your information very interesting. Could you tell me more please? I will deeply appreciate this.
Best Regards!
