Hi all,

I'm not very experienced in Siemens panels, but am considering making a change over from Beijer.

I understand the panels do not come standard with a VNC host, but have seen some posts of people being able to install a VNC host on the panel.

I'm very curious to find out:

  • What software is used?
  • What storage device is used?
  • Does anyone have a manual of some sort?
Thanks!

Ton

Hi all,

I'm not a real fan of bumping myself, but due to a very arrogant supplier, I again want to investigage changing to Siemens touch panels.

One of the biggest advantages we have with the current supplier is the vnc viewer.

Has nobody here been succesfull with installing a (free) vnc viewers on a siemens panel?

Tell us more about, what you exactly want to do (wich software do you use, where do you want to look at with the viewer,....).

Hi Sandman,

I am currently orientating me on the market, and looking for possibilities.

I have a TP 277 6" here I been experimenting with.

The idea is that we can connect to the panel with a PC by ethernet, to get up a mirror of the screen in for example Tight VNC. Currently we are using Beijer E1071 panels, which over this possibility standard.

Basically I am trying to find a VNC server to install on WindowsCE I guess..

Hi,
try http://www.efon.cn/ efon. I did not try neither but I read about it.
Still Sm@rtAccess will work for what you want to do.

cheers
