Automation License Manager

Hi guys,

I use Simatic Field PG on which both step7 and simatic HMI license keys are installed..
 

When ever i open the license manger i get an warning saying

"LOGGING IN DATABASE ON COMPUTER SIMATIC IS CURRENTLY INACTIVE"
 I have attached the jpg of the error

I tried all i could to clear this annoying prob, but couldnt...

Is there anyone you could help me solve this prob..
note:Automation License Manager v4.0

Hi.
It's just that the database is defective and the logging is done in a textfile instead. Just a warning, nothing else. To solve you need to uninstall ALM, delete the database file almdb.mdb from the system and reinstall ALM.

I was checking the forum because I have the same problem, So I was wondering if you could tell me how to delete the file almdb.amb because I could not find the file.

If its Vista you will find it here
C:\ProgramData\Siemens\Automation\Automation License Manager\logging

For windows XP,
c:\ documents and setting\ all user\application data\Siemens\Automation\Automation License Manager\logging

Please note: it's name is almdb.MDB, not almdb.AMB

I would like to correct the almdb.mdb file loaction (path) as below for Windows XP.

c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\Siemens\Automation\Automation License Manager\logging
