Dear Experts,

I have downlaoded the Microwin V4.0 sp7 upgrade.

Then i try to carry out the follwoing steps.

Browse to the folder 4.0.7.10_Service Pack/MicroWIN and start the installation via double click the file STEP7-MicroWIN_V40_SP7.exe

1.MicroWIN
2.s7exp
3.tdpaneled
When i double click on the Microwin folder i do not see any files (STEP7-MicroWIN_V40_SP7.exe ). inside.

Could any help in the correct way to dowload the SP7?

Thanks,
Raymond.

Hello,

I don't really understand why you need to go to any folders and search for install files ? You download just SP7 exe file and click on it. Then installer will do everything for you not asking to go to any folders to find for any files.
What system do you use ? Vista ? Then maybe turn off UAC.

Hello Raymondk,

Perhaps we could say you didn't download properly. Or download link isn't correct. I suggest you to try again. (http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/33005232). Anyway after open, you should see 3 folders, like yours. Only Microwin Folder content 17 pieces of installation files + rejoin toll. Look at attachment.

With regards,

Hristo Mihalev

Hello UMENCHO,

Thanks for the response.

I check inside the microwin folder which i download and i am seeing the same set of files as your attachments.

Is these the files to use the carry out the exe?

Thanks,
Raymond.

I think you missed the rejoin.bat.
Doubleclick it, then an exe-file will be created.
This is the final setup file.

This is also described in the documentation for downloading/installing the service pack.

Prepare for Installation:

The prerequisite for installation of the STEP 7-Micro/WIN V4.0 Service Pack 7 (SP7) is an installed and running earlier version of STEP 7-Micro/WIN V4.0 on your PG or PC.
After you have downloaded the STEP7-MicroWIN V40 SP7 unzip the file.
Then browse to the folder where you have unpacked the STEP7-Micro/WIN V4.0 SP7 and double click the Rejoin.bat file.
