How do you configure the counter module for the format 12 byte input & 6 byte output option?
All the options in the catelog provide a fixed 8 byte input & 8 byte output configeration.
I am using the new Profinet IO IM 6ES7151-8AB00-0AB0
I need to be able to read the counter frequency as well as the count value.
Please Refererence Entry ID 23378039

Any Ideas?

Hello,
In the manual I can read this:
=========
Modified user data interface 11 Instead of 8 bytes of input data and 8 bytes of output data, 12 bytes of input data and

6 bytes of output data are used, provided the IM 151 supports this.

The following IM 151 modules support this function:

– IM151-1/Standard order no. 6ES7 151-1AA04-0AB0 and higher

– IM151-1/HF order no. 6ES7 151-1BA01-0AB0 and higher
=======
The IM151-8 is not listed.
I would try as test to configure a decentralized periphery with the listed IMs, to see if this explains your constation.

Best regards
jklm

If you go to Entry ID 23378039 in the notes it says that this function is also available in the Profinet -IO IM's. The manual is out of date as it only deals with profibus IM's. The problem is that the hardware manager has no devices that install 12in/6out option ( Profibus or Profinet). This means that we would probably need an additional gsd. outside the standerd ones provided or something else....cry

I am using the IM as a cpu so it is not a remote I/O.
