Hi,

I have Step 5 ver. 7.02 which runs fine on Win2K-SP4 (Offline & Online).
The only annoying behavior I'm having is that once STEP 5 is the active app (gets focus), "ntvdm.exe" process jumps to almost 100% CPU usage.

A couple of seconds after switching to another app, the CPU drops back to normal.
Going back to STEP 5, the CPU again goes up to 100%.

Any solution for this?

Hi,

Maybe you might find something about this on the side of Siemens and search for "STEP5 V7.". There are a lot of newer versions, with newer computers there are several things made better. Your version is from the last century... grin

So it might help to upfate to the newest version.
