We will have an extensive total mill outage this spring in which several of our APACS+ control systems will be without power for up to 24 hours.  What are the recommendations regarding ACMx's for power outage of this duration?

Should we power down and remove batteries prior to the complete loss of power and then reload all ACMx's after power is restored?  Will batteries (these are new) hold configuration 24 hours?

Thanks.

The battery will hold the ACMx config intact for up to 1 month so you should be safe leaving the batteries connected and the ACMx's installed during your outage. What I would recommend is remove any redundant controllers prior to the outage. The ACMx modules go through an extensive power up routine that COULD be further complicated by having the redundant partner installed. Allow one controller (of the redundant pair) to power up fully before inserting the backup for crossload.

Good luck,
RJP
