hi all
i have a S7-400 as master and a S7-300 as slave
i want to use S7-300's output as input in S7-400
how can i do it
please help me

What communication type you want to use?
For profibus have a look at

Hello,

Sorry my link wasn't working, corrected that.
If you download module D6, you can see how it's done for 2 S7-300 PLC's step by step.
will be pretty mutch the same for a 400-300 combination.
There is even an example project.

i have to thank you because of your helpful link
i have one more question about the address we select in configuration window, is it a joint address between Master station and Slave?
i mean, could i use this address in Slave and Master
for instance, if i wanna use Slave's output 0 as an input in Master, i must transfer it into the configuration address input( like input40), then i use this input address in Master station, is it correct? if not so what should i do?

Hello,

I think you got itRnf:lblSmileyTooltip_
If you want to transfer i.e.a value(int) from slave to master you transfer that value (in slave) to QWxx.
Then you read the input in master IWxx and transfer to what ever you need.

Master write to slave :

      L     "Oven_DB".Oven_onder_sv
      T     PQD 1000

      L     "Oven_DB".Oven_boven_sv
      T     PQD 1004

Master reads slave:

      L     PID 1064
      T     "Oven_DB".Oven_onder_trav_temp_pv

      L     PID 1068
      T     "Oven_DB".Oven_onder_temp_pv

i've attached a file that contain 3 folders, 2 folders is about diagnostic buffer and a few picture wich show CPUs while are working and step7 in online mode

the other folder is my project in step7

but this project is a little bit diferent from what i told you; here there are a CPU312 and a CP342-5 as master system and a CPU313 as slave, the problems are when i download hardware the bus fault LED flash in CP module and CPU313(slave system), the SF LED is lit in slave system too

i hope the file could help you to give me a solution
