HELLO!
Alarm 300744 has occured after upgrading ncu from 572.3 to 572.5.
I've already performed SI copy and confirm in DriveConfig and after that this alarm is still present.
DocON CD says that remedy of this alarm is just correcting all safety-relevant MDs.
You know, I just backed up upgrade arc file and PLC from Old version and reloaded them to New one. I didn't edit and modify any SI data!
How come this stituation happened and what should I do to solve this problem?

You need a "Startup and upgrade instructions"   !

Please search a better PDF as the follow:   (This is only for example)

https://support.automation.siemens.com/dnl/Dg/Dg2MDc5AAAA_12561047_Akt/NCU_060324_76.pdf

You must change CPU-Type Step7-Project !

NCU *.3   --> CPU315-2DP
NCU *.5   --> CPU317-2DP

https://support.automation.siemens.com/dnl/Dg/Dg2MDc5AAAA_12561047_Akt/NCU_060324_76.pdf

SI  --> You must make all Test and make sure, that the machine is working fine.
Are you sure, you have all knowlege  ! ! !

*************************************************************
URGENTS ! ! !
You can make a damage Machine.
can also be a hazard for humans.
Up to the death.

*************************************************************

I think it is the best, you replace the 572.3 with a 572.3  !
Then you have NO problems and your machine is SAFE !

Regards Karl

Hello...

I really agree with Karl what he has said...

or if you sure want to replace with 572.5 then whole PLC as to  be recommissioned.....
as well as the NC side to be also checked....

Check it before you start doing any kind of activity....

Regards,
Prakash

Thanks for your reply.

The reason that I want to replace NCU from 572.3 to 572.5 is that NCU572.3 has cancelled since 2006 and I can't be supplied with it any more from SIEMENS.
My customer doesn't have enough NCU572.3s which can be replaced in emergency. (We are only supplied with NCUx.5 from SIEMENS)
So, I have to upgrade NCU as soon as possible before something is happened(for emergency)
And I performed Upgrading NCU under the Upgrading manual - I attach this manual as attachment.
I already performed upgrading NCU to x.5 several times and it worked out well.
I know what kind of PLC is in each NCU type.

If Upgrading NCU which is programmed 'SI' is not normal and easy thing and needs recommissioning, SIEMENS has to provide all version of NCUs. If not, Siemens has to give us correct manual to be able to succeed this work without problem like thing that I mentioned in this forum.

thank you.
