HI experts
I have a question about serial adapters for connecting to masterdrive. what's the difference between serial to usb and rs232 to usb? are they different or same?because recommended cables for communication between pc and drive are serial to usb and we can only connect to masterdrive x300 connector with rs232 protocol.

Hi,
Within the scope of your question, the answer is YES, they are the same.

RS-232 is however, only one of many different serial protocols, even Profibus is a serial protocol.

Graeme
