Hi All, I have a non-siemens Failsafe DP Slave on a PCS7 7.1 SP3 system im developing.

When i add my channel driver F_CH_BI and F_CH_II and compile with generate module drivers I get an error about hardware being missing and the F_PS_12 module driver block is not added or connected to my channel driver - I guess since the failsafe DP slave is non-siemens the module driver does not recognise it- I believe the way forward is to manually add the F_PS_12 module driver and link it to my channel drivers - can anyone give me a list of things that need connected, or a guide to manually added module drivers ?

Im asking from a device manufacturer point of view - i.e I need to develop the GSD file

Hi

If you have a Profibus component that is not support by the channel drivers, you should use the system function SFB54 to detect if there is any error attach to the Profibus node and then take the precautions you want.
