Hi ,
I'm using a Siemens MM440 (6SE6440-2UD31-5DB1) for motor application. I found that the unit is not working where there is no output voltage from the inverter when its ON . There are'nt any error message on the inveter display as well. Kindly guide me. Thanks.

Hello,

What you mean by ON, you mean running?
How do you control the MM, by OP or by digital inputs?
How you set the speed?

Sorry for all the questions, but we need to know more details.

Regards,

Marcjan

Hi ,
ON in the sense that by pressing the ON/OFF push button . There is 3 phase 415  supply going into the inverter and the display panel on the inverter lights up but no supply detected on the output which connects to the motor. There is no control on the speed of the motor where upon start up the motor runs at full 60hz . I hope this info should help.

Hi, I'm afraid its not quite as simple as that.
If the drive has not been commissioned to run from the BOP or AOP, then pressing the Green button will do nothing.

The drive needs to be parameterised with the motor data, the source of command (i.e. BOP) and also the source of the setpoint (i.e. Could also be BOP, or analog, or digital for fixed frequencies, or comms via Profibus)

I suggest you take a read of the commissioning section 3.5 in the document below:

Regards,
Graeme
