Hello,

Try it with "Reset to factory settings" option from http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26437978

Best regards,

Hello,

Yes, do you need a RS232/PPI multi-master cable or USB/PPI cable for the reset.

You can find these cable in the following FAQ.

What transfer options are available in the various operator panels?

laughThanks very much, I check the list, and the only option for Booting (because have damaged operating system) is the 90° Winkel (9 pol. 1:1) 6AV6 671-8XD00-0AX0 or the RS232/PPI 6ES7 901-3CB30-0XA0.

If I can understand, no other cable is used to repair the panel. Just that. My USB / MPI is useless in this case.

This 90º Winkel is a converter ( https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?aktprim=0&lang=en&referer=%2fWW%2f&func=cslib.csinfo&siteid=cseus&load=content&groupid=4000003&switchLang;22150270;5.x=34&switchLang;22150270;5.y=4&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&nodeid0=10805566&objaction=csview ), I need another cable to complete the repair?

I'll get that cable and what else? Thanks for the help Tweety!

Hello Eli Godoy,

You do not use any USB adapter for the transfer to OP177B.

Using USB RS232 adapters and USB Ethernet adapters
When using the RS232/PPI Multi-Master cable, zero modem cable or Ethernet connections, you can only use the "real" interfaces for project transfer.
"Real" interfaces are interfaces without implementation via USB. This means that you cannot use any "USB to serial" or "USB to Ethernet" adapters.
See the following link.
What transfer options are available in the various operator panels?

If you are using high bit rates, then you must implement the RS232/PPI multimaster
cable with "E-Stand 03" (development status 03) or higher.
You see in the following link, which settings do you need with RS232/PPI multimaster
cable. see the point 4 --> 1.2

How do you do an operating system update (OS update) on operator panels?
