Project Error after PCS7 V7.1 Upgrade to Sp1

Hello

I just upgraded my engineering station from PCS7 V7.1 to PCS7 V7.1 + SP1.

After the upgrade, when I open my project and compile the same, I get the error msg. :

HARDWARE ERROR: FIle not Found

...\s7asrcom\00000001\setparameterassignment.scl

Error Msg Attached.herewith.

Any idea, what could be the problem ?

Sorry, no I don't have a specific answer to your problem.
But users have enquired as to why some charts are lost, or hardware configurations don't seem to upgrade with this migration 9the Search box shows a few threads on the subject).
Have you seen this document, on the procedures to upgrade to SP1?

Thanks . However I have seen this document and followed the instructions in the same.
But problem still remains.

We have even tried to uninstall PCS7 completely and did a clean install of PCS7.1+SP1.

However, we still get the same problem.

The original project works fine in PCS7 V7.1 without problems

Dear Navnag,
I have the same problem but I didn't upgrade PCS7, I had PCS7 V7.1 SP2 from the start of my project and I compile my project without error priviouse. But now I added some new CFC and errors same as your error appears and compilation terminated.
Do you find any solution for the problem?

Hi,

try to delete all blocks from author ES_MAP, also the CFC charts with @....
Recompile you project (delta load will not be possible anymore).

Reorganize your project.

Try this steps and please give feedback.

I did your recommended way another time( I had done it before) but it didn't work and compilation terminated in the middle.

 another question what does it mean " delta load"? what feature I lose if I don't do delta load anymore?

Hi,

delta laod means that the changes are loaded to the AS without stopping the program.
If you can't delta load, you have to make a complete download of the program, that means, that the AS is going to stop.
Sometimes this isn't possible, e.g. when the production is running.

I will check your problem again.

Hi,

I cross checked the other topic you mentioned....
So far, I don't have any idea what it could be, hence you tried everything i normaly would suggest.

Maybe your project is broken.

Try this (please make backup archive before):
- create new CPUs in you project (to replace the existing ones)
- make the HW config like the old ones (don't use export/import configuration)
- maybe adapt the range of FBs and DBs (according old CFC config)
- copy all symbols into new program
- now copy alls CFCs into the new program, and delete the old CPUs

Thank you for your anwers and guidelines.
I had a backup from two day before of my broken project an it works ok. Then I work on this backup file and complete it and now it compile correctly. but sometimes when I want to compile the same errors appear. then I exit the CFC and sometimes exit the Simatic Manager. the second time it recompiled correctly without error.
do you have any idea about it?
do you think this problem started from a PC problem for example a Virus? Because when I saw this problem I scanned my computer and the Virus scanner found Stuxnet on one of my archived project and removed the virus. ( I had Microsoft Security and NOD32 on my laptop).

Hi.

Either your project is damaged (also before), or the problem depends on the installation of windows and / or PCS 7 itself.

Have you tried the workaround with the new CPUs?



If I would find a virus... espacially Stuxnet, I would do following.

Wipe the computer completely (using wiping tool, like Deriks Boot and Nuke).

Reinstall everything....

Clean the project on another computer, or inside VMware. Cross check against virus.

And then, if you are shure your project is clean, unzip it on the computer.
