Newbe: Timer and up/down couter question

(0)  Hi, Newbe question I am trying to make a function to turn an output on when an input is pressed twice within 2 seconds, and then turn the same output off after the same input is pressed another two times within two seconds. So far, i have the up/down counter in place that counts the two input signals and a flag helps me reset the up/down counter, but i cant figure out how to implement the timer function? Thx, David
