Dear Experts,

I am using Siemens S7-300 ,CPU314C-2 PN/DP PLC in out lab to control one multivariable process. We have a level sensors having sensor output voltage range as 0-5 V which will be my AI to PLC.Also in order to control level we have manipulated variable as pump voltage(0-10V) which will be AO from PLC.

I have gone through the user manual for wiring diagrams of Internal AI/AO/DI module of this PLC(DI8x 24DC-AI5/AO2 x12 bit) in order to connect level sensor as AI01 and AO01 as pump voltage.I think i made the wiring connection as suggested in manual but stil neither AI nor AO is working. Following are my questions:

1. Does internal AI/AO module requires supply voltage?
2. If anyone has used above mentioned AI/AOmodule for voltage sensors (not current measurment) ,then can you please share wiring diagram for such module.

I have total 4 level sensors and 2 pump to control. I plan to use following configuration:
AI00-Level 1
AI01-Level 2
AI02-Level 3
AI03-Level 4

AO00-Pump 1
AO01-Pump 2

Hi VD1,

Are you read the correct configured AI address in the user programming, please tell in yours AI reading values and there in any SF in yours CPU,

Dear VD1,

I hope you have parametertized the Analog IOs in Hardware Configuration console as per your requirements. i.e., Selecting channels as Voltage inputs, 0-10 vdc.
(As you also might be knowing that integrated Analog IOs have voltage range of +/-10 vdc.)

I hope you are using Analog IO address as per Hardware configuration!!!! Rnf:lblSmileyTooltip_

Dear VD1

first in hardware configuration when you put the AI card you should put the current parameter of your transmiter for example is 2wire or 4wire transmiter,etc and after beside of the card also you should change the jumper to be same as the hardware configuration.
