Hey guys,

Does anyone have experience removing the cover off the screen, this won't come off.
I'm afraid to break it, where I circled in the attachment is where it is still attached and I cant see inside to see what is holding it.

The screen keeps flashing/going crazy, and it is solved with a good slap, but I don't think this is the best solution, so I need to get inside and make sure the connections are not loose.

It is a Simatic PG M

Does this happened after an accident or some liquids spilled inside?

Best Regards

I think that there is no serious efforts shall be applied. as alternative can take the LCD monitor (15") and attach it to the back of the cover of Field pg. By Field Pg monitor can be connected either VGA-cable, or through a converter USB-DVI/HDMI.

In the end, I had to be a little more brutal, and fortunately, the little plastic clip did not break, it was just awkward.

I literally only touched the flexi-strip connected to the to the LCD panel, and the screen displayed correctly, so I just made sure the connection was good and re-secured the sticky tape.

No, there was no coffee/liquid spilt inside (At least not on this laptop) Rnf:lblSmileyTooltip_

Gre_m, seriously???
The point of having a FIELD PG is that you don't need to wheel your desk up a ladder and onto the gantry of a machine in order to use a laptop. astonished

Thanks anyway, Grant

I think that you should really have someone take a look at it rather than go on the solution to handle everything coming from your end.  And from the look of things, there are quite a number of other choices to go with just to name a few.

But with the other options being consumed, you should be seeing no problem with how they are going to be solved just like that
