Hello, Basically motors are manufactured on basis of power rating, RPM, duty cycle, insulation class, type of mounting, etc. Relays i.e. protection relays are selected upon the class or type of protection desiered, e.g. class 5, class 10 etc. So the general purpose manufactured motor may have class 5 or class 10 protection relay selected by the end user depedening upon the application & protection desiered by end user.
