Hi..
I'm currently setting up Simatic Batch redundancy project on two server computer (one is master, another is standby server)
My question is what are the main reasons that cause Batch synchronizing problem.ou I successfully started Batch Server in Master Server, but when I started it in Standby Server I always got "Reboot Box" in Master Server when it is synchronizing?

I really need some help to solve this problem soon...

Thank you..

Did you download to the Master & Standby from BATCH? Did you try after rebooting the standby?

I downloaded the Master and Standby server from my ES using Simatic Manager. Yes I've rebooted many times but the problem still occur.
Actually, this is an expansion project. The machines has already had Batch Redundant system without problem before, but after I restart one of the Batch Server it seems can't synchronizing and always give reboot error.
Any idea,sir?

Thanks a lot..

Could be a problem with the sbdata shares. Delete the shares and try...

It is originally shared since I installed it, if I delete the sharing could I still download process cell from my ES?

When I looked into Event Viewer I saw Error log source : Redundancy Control, description: Error Application Health Check in RebootApplication causes failover

Anyway, thanks for your answer. I'll try it and inform soon..laugh

Can I use the same network adapter for Simatic Batch redundancy and OS redundancy?
Because I used one station for Batch and OS server, the Simatic Shell redundancy config refer to which one?Batch or OS?
I use exactly the same network adapter + Com settings in Simatic Shell and WinCC also
I'm very confused about it sadsad

Hi,

you can use the same station for OS and for Batch Server, hence you can use the same physical network adapter.

Btw.: wich SW version are you using? Did you apply service packs, hot fixes?

Hi,

I'm using PCS7 v7.1+SP1 and Simatic Batch v7.1+Sp1+HF2. A colleague told me that problem maybe in Simatic Shell, because I use COM Port for optional redundant connection. But it can work before without problem. As you know I take over this project from another person and he didn't have any problem with redundancy.
Please help me,sir..laugh

It refeers to both.

Anyways...

We found the the problem.
Your Version of Batch isn't supporting redundancy via COM port.

You have to use a seperate network card for Batch redundancy.

Have a look at the manual "Fault-tolerant Process Control Systems (V7.1)" in Chapter "

3.7.1 Redundant BATCH servers":
http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/36191737/0/en

Please give feedbaack, if the solution worked.
