Hello. I think 6RA80 is better, as it is new series, and 6RA70 I think soon will be discontinued.

Hello Patidar,

It would be best to replace with 6RA80 drives since they are the most recently developed dc drive product offered by Siemens.

The 6RA80 drives power modules are available in a variety of different voltages, 2 Quadrant operation, and 4 Quadrant operation.

Attached is a example page from catalog for SINAMICS DCM Catalog D23.1 for 4 Quadrant Operation at 400 and 480 VAC.

You may refer to the catalog for your specific product requirements.

https://www.industry.usa.siemens.com/drives/us/en/electric-drives/dc-drives/sinamics-dc-drives/Pages/sinamics-dc-drives.aspx

Expand General Information menu on right side of page to get access to additional information such as catalog, brochures, etc.

Do you have 6RA70 drives in use? If yes, how many? From spares back up point of view, you can go for 6RA70. For next 10-15 years service back up for 6RA70 will be available. Moreoevr this product is well proved & you & your team must be familiar with it.

Right Now I have 4 Nos 6RA70 drives with me & 23 drives (6RA21 + 6RA24) would be replace.

If I could get spares & service for 6RA70 for 5-10 Years, then it is the better way to replace with 6RA70

You are right, we are familiar with 6RA70.

Thanks
