Hi all!

I have a CPU 414 and a module AO 8 x 13 bit and I'm trying to send a 4-20mA signal to a position controller which controlles the position of a hydraulic cylinder. I used fc106 to convert a value from mm to a scale from 0 to 27648. I changed the 8 AOs from V to A. And I wrote at the OUT of FC106:  PAW512 where the address of the first analog output is. I think that PAW512 is wrong. How can I send a value between 0 and 27648 directly to an analog output? I don't see any LED of this module (6ES7432-1HF00-0AB0) lighting. Why? If I send a value to an AO, 13800 for example, should this send approximately 12mA to the controller, right?

Thanks for your help in advance,
Sotos

Hello,

You see no leds because there are no leds.
Paw is o.k. if you program in German, in English it is PQW.

You can send value to PQW(and monitor) by using a MW

L mw100
T pqw512

In mw 100 you can now put your value by VAT.

Sure you connected the power to the module?
No errors in diagnostics?

Attached you find the Module data and connection diagram.

Regards,

Marcjan

Hi Marcjan and thank for your answer,

ok I didn't know that the analog module takes external supply. Now I connected the 4th pin (L+) with an external 24V adapter and the 48th pin (M)  with 0V. Coud you please explain me how to connect the first channel as a current output (4-20mA)? I red this pdf  that you sent me but I can't understand why there are so many pins (48) on the module just for 8 channels. What does it mean QV0, S0+, S0- and Mana?

Best regards,
Sotos

Hello,

There are so many connectors because voltage and current outputs have own connectors.

I have attached a schematic to wire current outputs, note wire bridges and all m-ana need to be connected together.

For the first channel:

Bridge 6+7

7= analog out +
8= analog out -

Marcjan
