MODBUS TCP LICENSE

I want to use modbus tcp, because of that i'm goinig to order: S7- OPEN MODBUS/TCP REDUNDANT FOR S7-400 H SYSTEMS with this order number: 2XV9450-1MB01

is it sufficient to order one package for two cpu or i have to order one package for each CPU?

Hi,

The order No. is Correct, But If you are using with the PCS7 then Please Cheked the Following post & if your CP is Server then Client (Modbus Device) Must be able to polling the both the CP when One CP is Fail, Please Try to Contact Siemens IT People (Germany) for more detail.

Hi,
for 1 h-system (includes 2 CPUs: CPU0 and CPU1) you need 1 license. For a second h-system you would need a second license.

Hello all,

Just to confirm the earlier pointers.

a.) Assuming I'm using 2 x CPU 417-4H, I will need only one Open Modbus/TCP License.

b.) This Open Modbus/TCP License is required if CPU 400-H is used for interface with 3rd party such as DCS. Please correct me if I misunderstand this.Rnf:lblSmileyTooltip_
