S7-200 PID FUNCTION SETTING

PLEASE I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO CONFIGURE THE FOLLOWING:

I HAVE FLOW TRANSMITTER WITH RANGE 0-600 M3/H AND VFD TO CONTRL PUMP SPEED WHICH IS FROM 0-2900 RPM. I AM USING PID CONFIGURATION WIZARD AND I SELECTED HI AND LOW LIIMTS OF FLOW ,UNIPOLAR AND THE ANALOG OUTPUT IS UNIPOLAR FROM 0-32000
BUT I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO SET THE ANALOG O/P LIMITS " SPEED SCALLING ". ALSO I WANT TO KNOW THE USE OF (ManulOutput), I AM USING MANULAL & AUTOMTIC CONTROL AND I WANT TO KNOW THE BEST VALUE OF THIS ONE (0.0-1.0).

Hello,

For your scaling problem have a look at S7-200 program tips
Tip 38 .

The manual input is to drive the output from 0  (0.0) to 100% (1.0) , you can allso use one off the scaling functions to do the converting for you.

Dear Hani,

I spend a lot of time finding out how to set all the parameters.

Assume that you measure the flow on AIW0, And output is AQW0

Before you start any PID wizard do the following:

Make sure that your VFD respond to values from AQW0.try to send 0, 15000 and 32000 see what happens

Make sure you can read flow from AIW0, it will be value between 0-32000

Now PID Wizard,

The fastest set all the ranges to 0-32000, for PV, Setpoint and Output.

P=100
I=0.05
D=0 (dont touch)

Stay with Auto mode for now,

Choose reasonable setpoint, lets says 20000.

Go to PID tools, from drop down menu, this is your friend.

see what happens when you run your programe.

You should see flow moving and stabilizing around your setpoint.

After, you can start finetuning your range and your P,I,D parameters.

The whole programe is one or two rungs.

If you have any problem post screen capture from your PID tools screen.

Thank you for your efforts, I have finished the program and in comissioning phase i will try this steps, as i was shocked when I knew that there is no simulator for S7-200. I will inform you at any updates.
