Dear All,
Plz let me know how to carryout the lase calibration for Axis in 840C .
What are the parameter I have to check.

Regards,

I did Laser Calibration in 840D machines But I m not aware of 840C..

U check the below parameters or there in 840C machine. If  there I ll try……

     In Axis MD :

            32700 – ENC Compensation Enable

38000 – ENC Compensation Maximum Points

Thanks…………

Dear kutty,
The parameter which u say are for 840D i thing.
For 840C i know the parameter & compensation table also but i dont how to do it.
I gone through docOn CD I found I need to enter compensation values & need to specify Compensation enable or disable & also +ve or -Ve compensation at each point ,whether my understand is correct.

Thanks & Regards,

Plz do as per the below steps,

1.            1.  As per the axis stroke length create a compensation table.

Eg : If axis stroke length is from 0 to 500 mm

Make a interval measurement as per our wish for eg every 50 mm.

Therefore compensation table consists 11 points for this axis.

No of Table points = ((Axis stroke length / Interval)+1)

Enter Max Stroke =500 mm

           Min Stroke = 0 mm

                      Step = 50 mm

2.            2. Then disable the Compensation enable parameter (Make it Zero).

3.            3. Then enter “0” in backlash parameter.

4.            4.Do the laser calibration with the help of Laser interferometer.

5.            5.In that first report you will get backlash value.

6.6.       6. Enter this backlash value in backlash parameter.

7.            7.Then do the calibration again and you will get pitch error value of the axis.

8.            8,  Enter these values in corresponding table.

9.            9.Then Enable Compensation enable parameter (Make it One).

10.       Then do the calibration again and check whether decrease or not.

If you have doubt in system accepting these error values or not means

You goto Diagnosis – Service display – Service axis - in that you are able to see the pitch error values in Absolute error compensation row.

      Thanks......................

Thanks for the reply,
In 840C manual following are the parameter given ,
NC-MD 316* (Reference point pointer for + compensation)
• NC-MD 320* (Reference point pointer for - compensation)
• NC-MD 324* (Distance between 2 leadscrew error compensation points)
• NC-MD 328* (Compensation value).

The 316* & 320* I have not understood its meaning.
Will you please explain, & I have to enter compensation points in NC-MD 6000 to 6249 (Leadscrew error compensation points..
So please explain it.
thanks

   I think it might be.............

For Eg :

Stroke length of the axis is -100 to 500 mm

               Measuring interval is 50mm

               No of points is 13.

MD 316 – Represents the Starting pointer of the + side compensation table.

MD  320 – Represents the Starting pointer of the - side compensation table.

              As per Eg   MD 316 = 6010

                                    MD 320 = 6008

                                    MD 324 = 50

                                    MD 328 = ?

Cleary tell me the meaning of MD 328

I hope so it might be Multiplication factor of comprnsation table Like 1 0r 2

6008 - - 50 mm pos error value

6009 - -100 mm pos error value

6010 -  0 mm  pos error value

6011 -  50 mm pos error value

                  .

                 .

6020 – 500 mm pos error value

   ( Don’t put the same starting pointer in MD316 & MD320

Don’t repeat the value of MD316 & MD320 in other axes.

It U use like this means table will conflict. )

If u any 840C laser related documents plz send it to me for more & better answer.

Thanks…………….
