How do I refer to the Tag from the "External Encoder Motion State Position" in the expert list, in order to use it my Ladder and MCC programs.

Thank you

Hello,

you can get the variable via <name of encoder>.motionstate.position.

When you have open the ladder/mcc program you can access the symbolbrowser of the TO encoder and drag and drop the variable directly to the ladder/program.

How can this be done in ST?

I use

myCTRL_dataPid.numericActValue   :=  Myencoder.motionstate.position;

(I have also used D425.myencoder.motionstate.position)

When I try to compile my program I get an error:

Error ST_pidcontrol: 10014 :Already specified technology packages do not support the type of TO "Myencoder"
Error ST_pidcontrol(84) : 6003 :Variable ID expected hoekencoder
Error Error on:
Error Syntax error (ret = 0xbe03000b)

can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!!

Jonas
