Hello,

Profibus Pins is:

A1 = Pin 8
B1 = Pin 3

I don't know the CM1241 Pins, if it use pins 8 an 3 so i think is OK.

Gabriel, thank you for your answer.

Yes, the CM1441 works with the pin 8 like signal A (RxD/Txd-) and the pin 3 like Signal B (RxD/TxD+), then I understand I can work with it without problems.

Thank you, regards.

Profibus is a protocol, but RS-485 is a physical layer, so if you have RS-485 module you can always use Profibus connector because profibus protocol uses RS-485 physical layer. You can even use Profibus connectors for Modbus RTU devices which run on RS485.

Hi,

the PROFIBUS cable/connector is RS485 standard.
Thake a look at the S7-1200 system manual, page 753.
The CM1241 has terminals because it could be used in standard 485 or 422 (that has differents standrad connectors diagramm).

Pegaia is right. CM mean communication module and it has connection terminal (female). CB is communication boeard and it has screw contacts.
