run mill on only single motor by making it master

dear experts,

our mill was running on two motors mill master and mill slave,master motor has to remove due to problem in commutator.

now i have to run the mill on only single motor by making it master.i have disconnect the field of slave.now please tell me using the D.C. drive 6ra70. what r the parameters which i must change and after that hw can i run the motor safely.

Hello.

I think you mean 2 motors that drive top roll and bottom roll of rolling mill, and you have (I think) 2 drives 6RA70. Each 6RA70 controls one motor. Have you any communications between 2 6RA70 or not?

Dear Amit,

Put the parameter of master drive into slave drive. check the peer to peer communication parameter.encoder signal hardwired connected to slave drive.decoupled the common shaft between the two motors.check the current control setpoint which is going from master to slave drive, as well as connect slave drive to field drive via peer to peer communication.

I assume that this two motors are connected with common shaft.
