Hi, I have an issue with a machine and am looking for any assistance on a resolution. I have a 5 axis machine that will fault any time I move one of the Axis'. All other Axis are good. The fault that I get is in the subject line. The machine is an 840D Powerline with simodrive611d drives. I have replaced the drive with a known good one as well as motor and cable. The only thing that I have saw that could be the problem and cannot figure out why this is, but all Axis' have a dc link voltage in service displays as 607VDC. The axis that is faulting is showing 877VDC.
All drive are supplied from the same place, so I can't figure why only one(which is the first drive) is showing a much higher voltage than the rest.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello....
May be you need to replace I/R module..If i understand in your I/R module 6th LED is glowing..i.e DC link overvoltage is coming.
try reducing your feed rate for checking purpose and see..
Check it out...

Prakash

You state you've replaced the drive.
Have you replaced the digital regulator card (6sn1118-xxxx-xxxx)
or just the LT Module or both for the X drive?
Very often the fault
"error in measuring circuit of absolute current"
is the regulator card
Also with the machine electrically isolated
check the earth connection continuity while moving
& flexing the power cable for the X axis Servo Motor.
Sometimes a bad earth can cause this problem
Best Regards

Hi,
Once again please confirm the DC link voltage of the drive by measuring Multimeter....
Whether it could be 607V or 877V ?

Hello....
If your using I/R module Dc link voltage =600V (slight variation)
U/E module Dclink voltage =580V (slight variation)
If shows more voltage > 650 V than it is worng you will also error LED glowing in the Module check up right side bottom most LED.

Prakash
