hello all friends.

there is something with name of"load inertia ratio" in some of servo drive manuals
what is "load inertia ratio" parameter?
what effect does it have on performance of servo drive and servo motor
if it adjusted too low or too high?

best regards.

Dear Saeed,

The parameter for Servo/Vector control in S120 for "load inertia ratio" is p0342.

The parameter influences mainly the acceleration/decelaration time and the pre-control.

Please refer the attachment.

Hi everybody,

how does this parameter influence the ramp-function generator? Will STARTER give an error, when the time (p1120[0],p1121[0] and p11235[0]) is too short? I have currently no possibility to check it.

best regards,

No

Starter will not give any error for setting this values

You have to check their effects on performance of Servo by your self

Thanks for your answer.

But then the load inertia ratio parameter seems senseless to me. Am I right or where is my mind mistake?

Dear Matthias,

We can calculate and enter the value in p342 manually if we already know the moment of inertia of the load about its rotating axis. This is recommended if we cannot perform automatic rotating measurement using starter due to restriction of movement of load or to avoid any damage to mechanics.

If there is no such issue or restriction for automatic measurement then it is recommended for p342 to get automatically calculated during the test.
