As i am not familier with DC Drive and Operation, 

In one of My Client's Machine I noticed that only Field Supply is went to motor from drive[6RA Series], i discussed with one of the person who work in DC drives about this,he told it is "Self excited Armature connection" need this type of wiring.. 

Is it correct?? 

Please give me some points about the defferent supply connections in DC drives..

I didnt work with,i just see that drive connection,

May be my friend got mistake while he saying, it will be self excited Field Suplly,..

Can you able give some points about Significance of self excited Field Supply, and wht will be the advantages about this ????
