Hello,
I would like to share my experience on ET 200 pro and need your guidance /help to overcome the problem.
We are working on Et 200 pro electronic modules with IM 154-8 F CPU , we found it very hard even to communicate IO modules with CPU rack.
[schnippschnapp]
I need to configure F switch on same rack. When I tried downloading the F switch configuration in the same PLC , it was asking for memory reset . The PLC is going in stop mode showing parameterization error .

Please share some guide lines on F switch configuration too .

Hello,
Be aware that the F-switch is a failsafe module.
You must also configure the CPU to hold a safety program (see "Protection" Tab in the CPU properties, ==> check the boxes "can be bypassed with password" and  "CPU contains safety program"

Make sure that the address switch setting of the F-I/O matches the PROFIsafe

destination address in STEP 7 HW Config (Parameter "F_Destination_Address").

The F_destination_address is shown in binary format in the "DIP switch setting" parameter in

the object properties for the fail-safe modules in
HW Config . You must obtain this PROFIsafe

address from the parameter assignment dialog box and set it on the fail-safe modules using

an address switch.

Best regards
jklm
