Hi!

I have a question. I use a standard CPU IM151-8 PN / DP (6ES7-151-8AB01-0AB0). But unfortunately I have about 192 KB of memory which is gently enough. And here my question:

Can be used in place of the IM151-8F PN / DP CPU (FAIL SAFE) (6ES7-151-8FB01-0AB0)?

I will not use any features fail-safe, I mean just more memory. Nothing more.

Hello,
It is possible to use a failsafe CPU without activating any failsafe function (standard mode).
If you leave the default settings in the "protection" tab of the CPU in the HWconfig,
the CPU will work in standard mode.

Best regards
