PC Adaptor USB is not detecting in ET200s

hello,

I'm using PC USB Adaptor ( 6ES7 972-0CB20-0XA0 ) for connecting my PG with the MPI/Profibus network.But when i coonecting the adaptor to the IM 151 (6ES7151-1AA05-0AB0)  through profibus PG connector to access the network,the adaptor doesnot show any power indications.When i refer (attached) the siemens documents it is written that it is possible to use second generation adaptors in profibus networks through ET200s.Anyone have any idea why my adaptor is not working on ET200s.

Hello,

Your Adapter needs 24V from connected CPU (through MPI cable) if not available on device or if profibus cable is used you need external power supply.

See manual for more details.

Dear,
Only ET200S CPU (IM151-7) supports this PC adapter and not IM 151.
In other words:
IM151-7 has the necessary 24V in the MPI/DP port to power a PC adapter but IM 151-1 does not !

Hi,
To operate the PC Adapter USB to MPI/DP interfaces which do not have a 24V 
supply voltage, you can order an external power supply (order number: 6ES7 972-0CA00-0XA0). 
Manual of 6ES7 972-0CA00-0XA0 attached.
