I'm currently working with an ET200Pro application. The setup consists of two racks on a PROFINET bus; a master IM154-8F PN/DP, and a slave IM154-4PN. Each has an ET200 Pro FC located after a F-Switch in the rack. Using STARTER i can communicate to the slave rack FC and configure the drive. The problem is trying to connect the FC located in the master rack behind the IM 154-8F. Simply put, I can't. I setup up the comms in the same manner but no luck. Are there any special considerations for the FC behind the F CPU? Can the FCPU allow pass through on the bus to see the FC? I'm at a complete loss here and would appreciate any input.
Regards

Thanks for the info. The problem I'm having is that Starter will not connect to the drive residing on the same rack as the 154-8F.

Issue resolved. Connection to an FC residing behind a cpu is not allowed.
