Hello,
I'm trying out WinLC RTX in a VMWare Workstation virtual machine on my laptop.
Host processor is Windows 7, guest is Windows XP SP3.
WinLC seems to be working fine, the only problem so far is the system clock.
On the windows side the clock runs at 1/4 of real time.
In the PLC the slow down is similar, I measured a factor 3.6
I know that WinLC was not intended to run in a VM, but has anyone had a similar experience and found a work-around?

Hi
Make on your Hard disk additional Partition and install Windows and WinLC to new (additional) Partition

Running a RealTime extension on a Windows inside a VM on a non realtime OS... it's like sitting in a Ferrari which is parked on a ship. How fast will you be?
Have Fun!

What about WinLC RTX on VM based ESXi so it will be
hardware -> VMware ESXi -> Win XP -> WinLC RTX ?

Change the HAL timer period to 1000, maybe 500 microseconds, for
adequate windows clock:
Programs -> IntervalZero -> RTX2009 -> RTX Properties -> System tab, Settings button ->.
Suitable for test environment.
Good Luck!

you may give the VM more cores to work .
Setting > hardware > processor> number of processor
