PC ADAPTER USB VS CP5611

Dear all,
I have 6 (six) CPU214 (6ES7214-1AD23-0XB0) then I want to read specific value for each CPU with WinCC Flex Runtime. Distance between WinCC Flex Runtime and CPU214 is about 50 meters. So.... Can I used PC Adapter USB (6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0) instead CP5611?

Helo Rizal Listio,
You can use CP5621 (PCI Express 32-bit) in place of CP5611. Since CP5711 has only a USB cable connected to the PC, compared to the permanent connection of CP5623 CP5621 to the PC.

but is it possible to use 6ES7901-3CB30-0XA0 (Intelligent RS232/PPI cable with built-in RS232/RS485 converter) or 6ES7901-3DB30-0XA0 (Intelligent USB/PPI cable with built-in USB/RS485 converter) instead CP5621? because CP5621 is quite expensive sad

Hello Rizal Listio,
Both the cables you mentioned are intended for downloading projects / Going online (diagnostics). Whereas you requirement is communicating CPU's with WinCC Flexible RT Advanced with also a distance of 50m.
So you need to go for CP to have a deterministic / stable communication for 24x7 operations.

Basically you can to use them. But 50m isn't so far?

But be care full sometimes if the distance is too long or is there is some interference then you can see some crazy things printing. blink

WinCC Flexible Runtime can not comminicate with S7-200 via USB/PPI Multi-Master Cable (6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0). You should use RS232/PPI Multi-Master Cable (6ES7 901-3CB30-0XA0) instead.
