Hello,

when I reboot the pg, and leave an USB stick or external USB HDD connected to the pg, after the reboot the data on the USB device is corrupted. When I go to the diskmanager of Windows, it says partition uknown or disk not formatted. If tested this on 2 brandnew PG's with the same result. Any ideas? I wouldn't be suprised if it had something to do with the dual boot manager from the bios.

grtz

Dabo

Hello Dabo2,

do you get this behavior only with one USB flashdrive/ harddrive or also with other USB storage devices?
Which bios version are installed on the field PGs?

Have a nice day

Hi,
I have tested this on 2 usb hdd, and an USB memory stick with the same results.
After removing the preinstalled bootmanager the problem was solved. (I've made the 2 operating systems back bootable with easyBCD.) The bios version of the pg's is 14.01.05.

Hi! You should use tools such type diskeditor. See tools on site www.paragon.com, www.Acronis.com (disk director), find  winhex, fotorec (this soft is free) for recover data from your disk. I think - you can use full functional trial version.
