STEP-7 Micro/WIN upgrading to higher version

Please does anybody know how to upgrade to higher version (for example: V4.0.8.06)? What is the cost of upgrading to higher version? Is it free or paid? The reason: I cannot open latest projects created in STEP-7 Micro/WIN Thank you

(0)  Hi, if the project you want to open is created with MW V2.x, then you can not open it like expected with MW V4. You must open the project in MW V2.x, change to STL editor and disable all symbols. Then store the old project on you PC. Then you can open the program in MW V4 (if you select x.prj).
