DC converters SIMOREG

S7-400 CPUs and Simoreg DC drives

Hi,
I have prepared a test station with S7-400 CPUs and Simoreg DC drives. However I receive "bus fault" and "external fault" when I try to connect to drive.
Any suggestions to solve it?

What did you do there? Give more details.
1. Make hardware copnfiguration in Step7 including the necessary GSD file corresponding to simoreg. Download it.
2. Assign in drive the same profibus address as in hardware configuration.
3. Connect both profibus connectors in drive and CPU with terminated resistors in ON. Switch on the drive. On drive profibus card has 3 leds which should blink together if everything is OK.

Thanks a lot. Actually when I try to install GSD file, I receive th below message:
13:4343 An update is presently not possible. In one or 
more STEP 7 applications at least one GSE 
file or type file is being referenced.
And although I have closed all windows, except that HW Config, I can not run installation.

Hello kamb;
Once you have closed all the other Simatic windows, and you only heve the HWConfig editor open, close the existing project that is running in the editor. Then you can install the gsd file.

Master / Slave (SIMOVERT) communication on the DP PROFIBUS
Connection of Masterdrives to Profibus-DP.

Might helps you further out in bilding of the project.
