Hello Experts,
This query is related about earthing resistance. Recently we prepared new earthing pit with following material.
Dogged earthing pit up to depth of 5 ft. Used copper earthing plate of size 12"x12"x3mm thk. Connected earthing plate with aluminium strip of size 50 mm x 5 mm with dia 12 mm size nut-bolt. Ensuered the proper face to face contact of plate & earthing strip. This earthing material is surrounded by earthing powder (backonite) & covered the earhting pit. After this installation when we measured the earthing resistance with earth tester, it showed value 10 ohm. Why? Now this is a rainy season in my area & with all these better quality material, we were expecting the earth resistance value below 2 ohm, at least. But why it is showing 10 ohm? What is wrong? Can any one explain?
Thanks in advance.
DEEP.

Is something wrong in query? Has any one ever faced such problem? Or whether the question is placed in wrong place?

Hello,
maybe your question is in wrong conference?

If this is the case then moderator would have transferred my question to right conference. Apart from this, in the forum I didn’t found conference related to my query. As it is related with LV power & distribution, I choose this conference.

….but i don´t see any siemens products in your question . Are there siemens products with which you have problems?
Best regards
Bilaol

In this forum, I met few posts which are not of Siemens products, even then those are discussed. In this forum, at no any point, I read or found any notice as users should/must discuss issues/problems of only Siemens products. blink Any way thanks for sharing your views. laughMy understanding behind posting this query here is, earthing is very important issue, which mostly in industry is ignored one, by posting this query I could get the correct & proper answer/solution to query as too many experts are available in this forum.

Regards,

DEEP.

Perhaps this link will help you.
It looks like a good place to start looking.

As for a suitable MLFB number I couldn't advise on that.
