Linux on SIMATIC Field PG M3

Dear all,

I have a SIMATIC Field PG M3, and I would like to have a dual boot configuration on it - Win XP (the one wich comes with the PG) and Linux (Fedora 15). My problem is: when I try to install Linux, the HD (Toshiba MK5065GSX) is not recognized.
Appart from Fedora, I have already tried to install Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Satux Linux versions, but none of them recognized the HD during installation...

Is there anything I can do in order to install Linux without formatting the whole HD?

Hello,

Could be a Serial ATA controller issue. Even after format I don't know if will be possible also.

Is it an option to let run linux in a virtual box?

I tried to run Fedora on a virtual machine, but the results were not good at all...
Well, I will wait for a new version of Linux, a compatible one...

Try to convert BIOS storage controller from AHCI to IDE it may works .

what about Debian? =)
Try create EXT3 partition using windws utilitys.
