Pac 3200 communication Problem

Hi everybody;
I'm using several PAC3200 energy analizor in my project.Commuicated by profibus DP.In HW config
all PAC3200 analyzers are shown module avalable and ok and watchdog activated everythig is ok up to here but at the next tab ''Diagnostic interrupt tab there is a message ''user module incorrect/missing'' .
I can not read any value from pac 3200.Ithihink because of that message.Project CPU is CPU 416-2 DP 6ES7 416-2XL01-0AB0 and for pac3200 I used basic type 1 and basic type 2.Anaother strange point in parameter assigment of pac 3200 it is not possible to change DP interrupt mode.It is DPV0 and can not be changed.Attachment you can find the parameter assignment,HW config of the system.

Hello ercag
Siemens changed the firmware of the PAC's Profibus DP module some time ago to give it DPV1 capability.
This does however also require usage of a new GSD file and I supspect that this the reason for your problem.
Have a look at the links below and please let us know what you find.

I also download the GSD file from same place.So I use GSD file SI018163.GSE date 14.10.09.

So your are using the DPV1 GSD file for the PAC which means that you MUST have the V2.0 Firmware PAC-Profibus-DP interface module installed in it.
Can you confirm this? (or do you perhaps have the older V1.0 Firmware PAC-Profibus-DP interface module, if so you MUST use the SIEM8163.gsd file).

Hello Fritz;
I also tried that GSD file(SIEM8163.GSD) too, but that time behavior was different.In HW configuration Therewas cross on all the PAC 3200 modules diagnostic of the module present and actual was mismatched was written.

Hello ercag
please confirm that you do have the Firmware V2.0 PAC-Profibus-DP interface module installed.
Have a look at chapter 6.5 of the Manual Expansion modules PAC PROFIBUS DP to see how to read it out.
While there, can you also check the Diagnostics of the PAC-Profibus-DP interface module and see if it provides further clues.
The only test I can think of is to try a different PAC and/or Profibus moduel for it (it may be faulty)

well, your picture clearly shows that your PAC Profibus module is a Firmware V3.0.2 one.
What I don't know is if it too perhaps requires a different GSD file.
I presume it will requrie the same GSD file as the Firmware V2.x Profibus DP module but suggest you send a Support Request to Siemens (see "Contact box" on the right hand side of this thread) and let us know what they advise.
In the meantime, have you tried a different PAC and/or Profibus DP module?
