Hi,
I need to migrate an APACS DCS to PCS7. Where can I get information on this? Is there a migration tool? What options do I have with regards to hardware migration? Can I use PCS 7 with the old APACS hardware?

Hello Tuff Gong,
You can find all info. here. You can migrate just the operator stations to PCS7 and leave the hardware as is but just for information, Siemens will stop APACS hardware in 2020.
Best regards.

You have three way to migrate the system APACS, the basic is migrate the OS PCS7, Second you can migrate the ACM using the IO/DP, you have your typical IO of the APACS but the control you do in the S7 400, or the full migration, is use the PCS7 with IM, the parts of apacs will have until 2020, analyses your system and take a decission. Best Regard.. in my opinion the easy way to migrate is the firts because you cant programmer the system only compile with the software of PCS7/Apacs and then created the block to PCS7, you only created the display of operation.
