Hi,

I am using SIMOTION in an application and everything is working quite right so far.

As everybody knows optimizations of the application programs are often necessary even the machine is producing and is located far away from my office.

My SIMOTION device has an Ethernet port which I can use locally for engineering and maintenance jobs but can I also do these jobs via the WWW? If yes, what are the capabilities and where can I find further information?

Thanks in advance for an answer.

ZZZ

Hello,

enginering via WWW is not available.
But you can build your oven Teleservice (VPN) so you can connect trough the WWW with Scout to your CPU.
Some changes on userprograms can't be made without Scout.

Alternativly you can load your Project via FTP, but this way needs a restart of the CPU on every change.

For Diagnostics you can use then OPC Server which was implemented in SIMOTION RT in the
"IT- DIAG" version of the Frmware.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Christoph
