hi,
does anyone knows if there is a way to program a flash card (e.g for im308c)
without the PG built in inteface??
is there lats say a usb device/programmer that can connect to my laptop??

there is, its called a USB Prommer, part number (and product link) is: 6ES7792-0AA00-0XA0
Should you decide to get one, please make sure to use the correct driver (depending on your OS) as outlined in this link:

Last but not least, we use a Field PG for this and and I have not verified if the USB Prommer is suitbale for the IM308C Flash Eprom and/or supported by COM Profibus (it should be but please verify this with your Siemens Sales rep or perhaps some other forum user has experience with this and can verify it).

thaks,
do you know where can i get the latest ver of com profibus
i have the old 3.3 and i am not sure it is competible to my needs
and to the usb programer.
tried to find all over the net with no luck!

Hello again asaf
I suggest you contact your local Siemens rep to see if it can still be "bought" or what else he can do for you concerning this.
Latest version is V5.1, SP2, HF3 and COM Profibus entered the "product discontinuation" phase in late 2005, but is not available as a free download from Siemens (as far as I know anyhow).
