I am using WinCC flexible 2007 V1.2.0.0_1.55.0.1.
This panel have been operating for almost a year without problem.
With this current problem, i could not even perform another download to the panel with the same software.
The transfer stops at 'Preparing connection to the device...'

After installing the hotfix 4. I still could not perform download or OS update, same problem.
Should i send the panel back to the manufacturer?

Hi,

at first, i would try to make a "Reset to factory settings" (not "os update"!).
For this you need a "null modem wire"
Look to this FAQ

-> http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19701610

When this does not help, then you should send the panel to repair,

regards,

Hello,

A null modem cable is a RS232 cable with TX and RX crossed at one end.

In case off op77a you have no RS232 only RS 485.

Have a look at the manual for more details :
