We have an 840D Powerline controller and its doing some guffy things to program. Its adding random characters to programs. What do you think could be going on?

Hi
It seems that you have a virus. Try to install an antivirus.
Good luck

Does the program runs correctly? Means is it only display problem or when try to run the program, any error or message gets displayed?

Hello...

Have you tried running any other programs and checked are you getting the same characters in between the program.

Could you check it out and revert back....

Prakash

The program will not run once it hits the bad lines of code. Gives an error message unable to read...  Other programs run fine. Cant explain it but now the program works fine after deleting it and reloading the program a few times its stable. Was able to run it. When we outputed the "bad" code it was also corrupted. the screen shot i have in the first post is an outputed program. Oh well dont know why. thx

Hi
If other programs are Ok, maybe you have a virus on the computer on which you've generated the program. I've encountered same issues on other types of controller to.
Good luck

Had it happen again. It only happens when the operator modifies the program to change a value. For example a feed rate. When they then save it, it will corrupt. This is not all the time but some times.

I think i might have the answer to this. What we ended up doing was clearing the NC and PLC with the rotary switch in the cabinet and then reloading the NC archine. So far now issues in little over a day.
