no communication or server not started?

The harddrive of the configured machine is died. now I replace the harddrive and tried configure by myself, but I got "hresult error 0x8004610a". I have been searching alot and still can't solve the problem.

I just want to make sure if something I'm missing.

the situation is below:

- Windows 2000 nt sp3

-wincc 6.0 sp3

-sql server 2000 sp3

-window administrador user with enough privilege, has password.

-already change auth to mixed mode

-I'm not sure if server and client can be the same computer. because it's not in LAN it's ip is 169.250.0.0 (strange ip)

- simatic shell shows the own computer

I neither can open existed projects nor create any new project (hresult error 0x8004610a)

any other suggestion?

Hello kossell,

I fear, I don't have an answer for your problem at all, but one thing I know is, that server and client can't be the same computer. What should be the sense of this?
Client and Server have to be in a network. They must be able to see one another, if you use "bing" command. Your IP is really strange. You have to choose your IP by hand.

Did you change name of your computer, when you installed a new hard disk?
Name of your computer has to be the same as in your project.

Did you take care of WinCC Installation Advises for Version 6.0?
