I am having a problem trying to transfer an existing project to a new MP277 10" touch with USB.  the WinCC Flex is a new installation on Windows 7.  The project had previously been maintained using WinCC Flexible 2005, and the panel was a MP270 10" touch.

When trying to transfer I get a message "There are no devices selected for transfer.  Select at least one device in the transfer dialog".  There is nothing to select in the transfer dialog.  Communication has been proven as i updated the OS on the panel using the USB master to master cable.

Any ideas?

Hello,
Which Windows 7 version you are using?
Some of Windows 7 are not compatible with Simatic WinCC flexible 2008 SP2.
Please check the attachment.
Please check compatibility tool to know which MS windows is compatable with Simatic WinCC flexible 2008 SP2.

The operating system is windows 7 professional 32 bit SP1.  The attached document says that comapability is not tested it think.  I may need to do a reinstall since removal of SP1 is not an option on this PC.

The error message is "There are no devices selected for transfer.  Select at least one device in the transfer dialog."  Also after attemting once, all of the transfer menu is greyed out.  To try again I need to close the project and re-open. See screen shots.  Thanks.

Hello Victor Tech,

When you click on transfer, you get a pop up. Here you can select desired cable (method of transfer) etc. But also at the left, you see the panel (project) you want to transfer. In your screenshot this is a white empty box. sad

just wondering, can you try to start a new project.
Can you download little test project to HMI?

Perhaps the following link might help:
how can you reset WinCC flexible to the original status of the last installation?

Try to go to Options -> delete temporary files and then compile project and try to download.

Best regards,

Wizard

Hello,
Yes. You can remove SP1 and try. I believe it will work according to attached file of my previous post.

Wizard, Thanks for your reply, unfortunately neither of those suggestions fixed the issuecry, so it looks like I'll be doing a Windows install.

Just for check. Go to device setting and please ensure that firmware is the latest revision set in the project. I know that if you set older firmware versions download also is not possible.
